From El Paso to The Hole Truth

I used to be a psychiatrist in El Paso, Texas, where I worked with some of the most vulnerable patients in my community. This is a city that is overrun with poverty, crime, drug violence, border violence, children separations, human trafficking, money laundering—you name it.

When I was there, I saw firsthand how politicians say one thing to the public and do something very different in private. I tried to stand up for my patients, but I found that I couldn't do anything as just a single doctor.

"One day in the middle of one of these encounters I was asked:

'What are you going to do about it, doc?' Well, you can see what I'm doing about it."

So I'm doing something about it. I have had enough of politicians who are used to doing wrong that they barely even notice - more of afraid of looking bad than being bad. We have documented large ogvernmetn agencies and public figures directly looking you in the face and saying one thing, while we have been quietly documenting meticulously that they're doing the exactly opposite behind closed doors. Politics has always been a dirty business, but.

Enough is enough. That's why The Hole Truth Foundation exists, because just like you I've had enough of this shit. So we're going to do something about it.
